Our client had a well with communication between tubing and annulus above the safety valve. Options to get their well back to producing was either to recomplete or to run a straddle.
After investigation and planning together with the client, it was decided to run a fully retrievable straddle system APS 425-550. The straddle was successfully installed in December 2011.
The cost saving on this operation was significant.
